About Your Mentor/Coach:
In the early 90s, I was finishing college and I got an internship at George Lucas's Industrial Light Magic, where I worked with many of the art directors and filmmakers working on movies like Jurassic Park.
From there, I was so inspired I decided I was going to become a filmmaker, too. So while I had a day job at an ad agency, I started teaching myself film editing and animation at night. Then I got a job in L.A. working for eNews for a year. After that, I went to another production company where I was editing and designing visual effects and I started needing to direct backgrounds for my work.
So I decided to start shooting short films, commercials, music videos. Now I've been a filmmaker for over 20 years and in this world there's a lot of ebb and flow. Many times you're pitching projects and not actually filming or producing. So I started my portrait studio in twenty seventeen.
After struggling for years trying to generate leads to book paying clients, I hit on a very simple recipe I’ve been affectionately calling, “The Secret Sauce.” It was a combination of using my 20 year background in advertising and marketing, along with my newfound skill and passion as a portrait photographer. BOOM. I’ve taken my studio from struggling to shooting 4-6 sessions per week and I can help you do it, too! I am glad you’re here and want to share the secrets to my success.
